Our group used to come to Andamiro religiously, but took a year long hiatus to explore other restaurants. One thing we fondly remembered was their lunch specials, which for around $12 could get you almost 2 full meals (one as a take home lunch).

They've since taken that away, which caused many of us to be very, very sad on our first revisit.

However, Andamiro retains much of it's charm and quality. Decor in the restaurant is still...strange to say the least, with an eclectic selection of everything from wire frame Avengers to bicycles to Cuban art celebrating Che Guevara. They've opened up the seating area to accommodate more people and larger groups.

Food is still pretty good, as I remember it. Their mackerel combo is spot on and has a lot of flavor, but I still find their soups to be a little heavy on the sodium side and loaded with grease. Still though, the food comes out piping hot and rather quickly, and service is still generally OK.

It's a pretty decent Korean restaurant. Not the best by my standards, but competitively priced and will fill you up.

We came to his place originally thinking they still had their lunch specials, but unfortunately they changed their menu 2 months ago!

But luckily we came in a group of 6 and it was just as amazing. We ordered the $48 Andamiro Special, consisting of a korean pancake, tofu soup, beef kalbi, and japchae. On top of that we ordered a cold spicy noodle and beef fried rice.

ALL OF THE DISHES ARE AMAZING. They look somewhat small but they were the perfect amount to fill 6 hungry bellies.

*Highly recommend the korean pancake, its sooooo crunchy and flavourful!!

Posted a picture of our food on instagram and tagged Andamiro to get ourselves FREE takoyaki! (came with 6)

total for each person after all this food was $12

What a disappointment. I've not had a disappointing Korean meal in such a long time. Perhaps my taste buds have been spoiled by the delicious restaurants found in Coquitlam. There were 6 of us and it was my mom's birthday as well. I had chosen this one based on the numerous good reviews. She wasnt happy with her meal as well. Oops.

There are some free parking spots behind the restaurant. The restaurant has a lot of different kinds of decor : Disney, marvel, etc. It was actually quite cute. The service was also pretty good.

The food was, however, was just not on par with what we've tasted before. Firstly, the banchan (side dishes) was so weak in variety and bland in taste. For ex., the usual potatoes were white in color and had no taste. The kimchi tasted like the cooks just spread the spicy sauce on top of the napa cabbage. The other two side dishes were bean sprouts and green salad. None of them was good.

As for actual food... pork bone soup broth was not rich at all. Watered down version? Seafood pancake did not have much seafood in it. We ordered the large and they only gave us one tiny little plate of sauce. The spicy sweet and chili chicken was also mediocre. All my experience with this dish had been crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their version was neither: soft outside and dry inside. We also ordered the bossam, japchae and two other soups. We were not impressed by any of them. Oh, and if you post a picture of their food on IG, you can get a free takoyaki.

Overall, the experience was not good. I felt like the food was just there to fill me up but not to satisfy the taste buds. The thing is, they charged the same price as those yummy restaurants that have spoiled my tongue. If I had wanted to just fill up my stomach, I probably would've gone to a food court instead.

Tasty Korean dishes for a good price. They have a lot of combo options which makes the meal a better value but you'll need to come in a group. Their menu has lots of options ranging from tofu soups, Korean bbq, noodles, fried chicken, etc.

We came for dinner. For 4 adults and a toddler, we ordered their Original Combo and an additional Fried Chicken dish. Typical of Korean restaurants, they also provided refillable complimentary side dishes. We were full and had leftovers after this meal.

Original Combo ($48) - Meant for 3ppl I think since it came with 3 bowls of rice. Includes:
    1) Seafood Soft Tofu Soup - Hearty, hot soup with lots of seafood; huge mussels, shrimp, etc.
    2) Seafood Pancake - Very crispy, lots of octopus pieces in the pancake. Tasted yummiest with the sauce provided.
    3) Beef Ribs - Best dish for me since I usually get this at Korean restaurants anyways. It was just as good as other places.
    4) Royal Beef Japchae - Large plate and again, this place is not stingy with their ingredients. Good flavors, though a bit oily.

The original fried chicken we got was just OK. The seasoning was a bit bland though the chicken had a good crisp. I'd stick to getting fried chicken at Korean places that specialize in this. But overall, I would come back!

DISCLAIMER: I'm from LA and used to the overabundance of excellent options of Koreatown.

We picked this place on our first afternoon in Vancouver. It was drizzly so I was craving soon doo boo, and I gotta say at least that I was impressed we were able to find Korean tofu at all. Service was really friendly; it wasn't busy so we were seated right away and didn't have to wait very long for our food and drinks.

I ordered soon doo boo, as spicy as I could get it, with seafood. Again, compared to what I'm used to, it was the worst soon doo boo I've had by far. Not very spicy, and overall very flat in flavor. However, if you have nothing to compare it to, and just want a nice, filling seafood and tofu broth, it was okay, I guess. We also got a bottle of apple flavored suju (they were out of peach), which was delicious and got us (two petite girls) reasonably buzzed through our dinner LOL. We loved it so much we ended up buying three more bottles when we found it at a liquor store the next day.

Overall an enjoyable dinner. Good amount of seating, good service. Would probably be willing to return and try something else maybe.
